HUBERTA LIVINGSTONE, MD
FIRST UCHICAGO ANESTHESIOLOGIst

Dr. Livingstone joined the University of Chicago in 1928, becoming our first anesthesiologist. Dr. Marel Harmel would found the Department of Anesthesia & Critical Care in 1969.

P. ALLAN KLOCK, MD
CHAIRMAN

Dr. Klock joined us as chairman in April 2022 after serving in various leadership roles at the University of Chicago since 1994. A world-renowned leader in anesthesiology, Dr. Klock has held many leadership roles with the American Society of Anesthesiologists with a main academic and clinical focus in airway management.
